Mira Edelman Senior Discovery Counsel at Google

Mira Vayda Edelman is a senior counsel and discovery manager in Google’s litigation group, offering advice on legal, technical and strategic issues involving electronic discovery and information management in domestic and international civil litigation, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations. Prior to joining Google in 2011, she was eDiscovery counsel at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, where she helped establish the firm’s eDiscovery practice group and handled complex commercial litigation. Mira is a founding member of the eDiscovery committee of the litigation section of the District of Columbia Bar Association. She was a topic authority for the 2010 Legal Track of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Text Retrieval Conference (“TREC”), a joint government/industry/academic research project studying the application of automated information retrieval technologies to eDiscovery. Mira has a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of Law Review.
