  • Hon. Elizabeth LaPorte is a United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of California, where she presides over numerous civil cases, including patent, trademark, copyright and other business litigation. She will be featured on the Case Law by the Clock panel covering the latest in case law trends.
  • Tom Allman is a retired General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at BASF Corporation and is now an independent Legal Services Professional. While serving at BASF, he advocated for what became the 2006 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Allman’s session will be “Spoliation and the New Rules,” exploring how spoliation motions have evolved since the changes made to Rule 37(e).
  • Jana Limer Mills is Director & Sr. Attorney at American Airlines. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified E-discovery Specialist. Jana will participate in the “Taming the Over-Preservation Beast” panel and share stories about the real challenges legal teams are facing when it comes to preservation initiatives.
  • Steve Watson is a veteran e-discovery technologist, with nearly two decades experience in information technology, information security and investigations. Steve will join the “Data Privacy, the GDPR and Security All in One” session and present the closing keynote, “The Future of Data and Data Acquisition.”
